Dating back to the 1800s, the Main Hall is the largest space at The Elmgrove Centre. Its soaring ceilings, beautiful stained glass windows, and impressive stone pillars create a breathtaking backdrop for weddings and large-scale events. The hall’s excellent natural acoustics make it especially popular for choirs, live music, concerts, theatre, and dance performances.

The venue has a strong cultural heritage and has previously hosted theatre and dance rehearsals, including work associated with BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing, as well as performances by leading theatre production companies.

Accessibility & Facilities

The Main Hall is a largely accessible venue, featuring:

  • Step-free access throughout most of the space with a ramp available for the short entrance and stage step

  • An accessible toilet

The hall is complemented by the adjoining Frome Room, Green Room, and a fully equipped kitchen, making it ideal for event catering, performers, and event organisers.
